Crunchy Tunisian Salad

This fresh and crunchy Tunisian salad is a cold starter that belongs to my Tunisian culinary heritage. Composed of raw vegetables, cut into small cubes, this salad is particularly appreciated in summer!



Makes 6 servings


  • 4 tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cucumber
  • Dried mint leaves

For Seasoning:

  • 3 tablespoons of Damya Biodynamic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon
  • Salt and pepper
  • Hard-boiled eggs, parsley and pieces of tuna for decoration



  1. Wash the cucumber, tomatoes, peppers and onion; cut them into cubes;  put everything in a salad bowl
  2. Combine the lemon juice, salt, pepper and olive oil in a bowl. Season the salad with this vinaigrette
  3. Finally, crumble the dried mint leaves
  4. Optional: decorate with hard-boiled eggs cut into pieces, parsley and tuna crumbs
  5. Serve chilled
